Davy is back at Kita and Zach is back to work. There are still cases of Covid popping up in Switzerland, but they are few and far between. Things seem to be getting back to normal but I am still not taking public transit and I have to have a pretty good reason to go into the city. Davy is growing like a weed in every respect. I swear he gets faster, bouncier, and more cunning by the minute. He is becoming a champion of picking up his toys, and loves loves loves playing with the neighbor kids. Other favorites include fountains, tractors and raspberries.

I have, without a doubt, fallen in love with roses. Never could I imagine how prolific they could grow, in every size and color imaginable.

Everyone seems to have a rose arch (of course)

This little peanut likes to smell them too

Someone got his very own push bike and was so excited he couldn't wait to put his diaper on

Also, he is obsessed with boots

Also, he is usually too excited to put his diaper on with or without a new bike

Just coming out of lockdown is feeling good. Kind of like dipping our toe in the pool for the first time. We are taking it slow. Zach has been going into work more and more, which I hate. We sure love having him home! Even though we have been hanging out around the house we still seem to be keeping busy. Firstly, we had to say goodbye to our darling, darling Newton a few weeks ago. He had a very aggressive cancer and was degenerating so quickly. We had to make the tough decision to put him down. Zach and i were with him the entire time, holding him and telling him how much we loved him. We miss him EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Losing Newton took the wind out of our sails for sure. We are slowly feeling better. Poor Nox is still becoming accustomed to the new normal and Davy likes to point to Newton's picture and say "Newwwwwwwt" and then mimes sleeping. It breaks my heart but am happy that he knows that Newton is peacefully sleeping.

Of course, this blog is mostly pictures of Davy. He seems to run everywhere now and we have a new word every day. My new favorite is when he points to a picture of his Aunt Lauren on the refrigerator and exclaims "Nornie!"

Our Newtie

Sometimes Davy wants to sit on the potty, he hasn't been successful yet but we think its a good sign that he is showing interest

I love looking down on these two

It's difficult finding the perfect place to sit
