The last few weeks have included the most joy and love we have experienced in our life. We have also felt at our worst when we had to spend three extra days in the hospital and generally while recovering from giving birth. But we have loved every second of being in our home for the last few weeks. Here are some things we have learned about our David so far...

He likes to play with daddy's chest hair
Makes noises like a little horn while he is sleeping
Smiles and laughs in his sleep
Likes being sung to
Loves bath time
Loves nursing
He has dimples
Loves staring out the window
Poops like a champ...

Yes, more pictures of  David cuddling with his papa

To our surprise Nox has really taken to David, he is his constant companion and it is all we can do to keep the licks at bay

Um, we had an anniversary somewhere in there. My amazing husband made a wonderful dinner and dessert and it felt so good not have to have hospital food.

Finally... on the two hundredth try.

I can't resist a baby butt

Bathtime is a favorite, he loves it so much.

Life

I remember when this first picture was taken. I was so proud of the "bump" that I had to push my tummy out to even see. I was so excited to finally be pregnant, and to start the amazing process I had been wondering about all my life. Pregnancy treated me well.  I know some women really struggle, but my biggest complaint was just being generally uncomfortable toward the end. Our little one arrived exactly one week early and my labor started on a full moon. Life is funny, now, even just a week after it is hard for me to remember what being pregnant was like. My body has adjusted once more for the next stage. It really is a wonderous thing. Happy Monday.

Catching Up

Well, it has been a while since my last post. Our time has been taken up with getting ready for baby! Here is a little bit of what has been going on in our lives for the last month...

My ever patient husband teaching me how to bake and we are both enjoying the results...

My dear friend that has lived so close for the past 3 years moved back to the States in July. I miss her everyday. In this picture she is 20 weeks pregnant and I am 32.

Some summer blooms

Getting baby stuff in the mail makes things a little more real

The baby cupboard

It has been one thing after another with the the boys this summer...

Newton checking on his little brother or sister

Cooking when you are 8 1/2 months pregnant is a challenge , it is interesting trying to cook and wash dishes either sideways or standing a foot away from everything

Enjoyed the Lunar eclipse a few weekends ago

It has been the hottest and driest summer in years, and of course we are in a country with no air conditioning. We have been coping with frozen vegetables, fans and showers turned all the way on cold.

So, we are enjoying our time of being a family of four, but we are even more excited to add number five!
