Wirey

When I think about chicken wire, interior design usually doesn't come to mind, but I now am dreaming of wire faced cabinetry... Happy Monday

Picture Update

Its chilly and rainy here today, just how I like it. I plan on making my grandmother's Comforting Chicken Noodle Soup later and then I will read my book.... not a bad day huh?  Fall is in full throttle here, turning trees and chilly nights. I can't believe how quickly this year is going; Zach is working hard on his big project at work, and I am working hard on my little people art at home.

Finally hung mom's little girl silhouette in the entry, I love it more and more everyday. Oh, and there's Nox, never missing an opportunity to look cute.

This has been here since brother Bridger visited in September and I have no intention of erasing it.... ever.

This big nose misses the yard he had for two weeks. But he missed his couch more, and is happy to be reunited.

This fantastic pillow that my mama embroidered

This guy had his first Steak and Shake experience this weekend... so proud

This guy is the same as ever, follows us everywhere, and wakes us up with kisses

I made Zach sneak out while it was dark and cut this from a tree behind our building.... soooo worth it.

These two playing

This spot. This dog. First hot cup of tea since last winter. Country living magazine.

Always nice to have a  picture of the two of us, usually it's one or the other...

Lately...

We just wrapped up a 16-day house-sitting extravaganza. We temporarily gained a backyard, a vegetable garden (with the world's yummiest tomatoes), another black pooch, a grill, and  an expansive living space that made our little loft feel like a closet in comparison. We enjoyed every second; it was a good reminder of how much I am looking forward to having our own home someday...

Feathers

To me, feathers invoke feelings of beauty and nostalgia. Feathers themselves are simply stunning; they differ in color, size, and shape, yet all are so beautifully fragile. A couple of years ago, when we were still living in Wyoming, we started a little collection from feathers we found on the ground that we are still building on today. It is a fun hobby, and I love having them placed around our loft.
It reminds me of home. Can you tell which one is ours?

M. Elle Design

My mom and I always joke about starting our own interior design company. Our tastes are so similar, we would have a ball picking out furniture, textiles and lighting. But in reality I am sure it is MUCH more work than that, and it takes time and commitment. Here is a mother daughter duo that are designing lovely spaces and they look like they are having a good time along the way.
