Swoon: Soapstone

I am in love with this beautiful and versatile stone, my future kitchen will surely be introduced to this stuff. First, I love the look of soap stone, it is more sophisticated than many counter top options (such as granite)and comes in many different shades of grey. Second, it is heat and bacteria resistant, it doesn't stain and is nonporous (no sealer needed)! Mmmmmmmm, I want some...

Spring!

Spring is here and it is LOVELY. I have to say that one of my favorite things about living outside of the west is the abundance and diversity of plant life. All things are in bloom, and most are new to me. My favorite so far are redbud and dogwood trees. The park that we visit daily is in full bloom with dogwoods and Crab apple trees right now, and the bright colors against the emerald green landscape are stunning. Happy Spring!
