It has been a full couple of weeks. We have tried to take advantage of the last couple weekends since we have not been sick (we are now though) and get out! It is our resolution to discover as much as we can about Switzerland this year and we are off to a great start.

A couple weeks ago we went sledding, but it felt more like a grand grand adventure. We had sun, snow, fondue and insanely beautiful scenery. David loved the snow and insisted on eating as much as he could, oh, and there was also sledding. We had a magical day and can't wait to go back and see what it is like in the summer!

Last weekend we visited Zurich, which we have only ever been to because of the airport. We took a boat ride and enjoyed strolling around the city.

Davy loved the boat and was on the go the entire time wanting to look at the water and birds.

Newt has been struggling with a shoulder problem of late and I usually hold his food bowl while he eats so he doesn't have to bend down so far to reach it. Davy has happily taken over this task and Newt is ever kind and patient.

We have had a lovely start to our year. Nothing earth shattering, just enjoying our day to day lives here in Switzerland. We are back to our normal schedule of things. Davy and I have already weathered another sickness but are feeling better. I love how sunny it is here in the winter. Even if it is freezing outside, everything seems a bit happier when the sun is shining. We spend many afternoons running around on our little patio, playing in mulch and muddy leaves.

A couple of weekends ago, we wanted to get out and go for a hike. It may not look like it, but it was TOO cold to have Davy in the backpack and we ended up playing in the car.
