I'm sure every parent has wished they had had the power to slow down time. David seems to be changing so quickly, and I just want to make sure I am taking it all in. He is pulling himself up and standing on anything he can find now, and I find myself being his constant companion, trying to "let him be" without having him fall all over the place. He is making a trilling/purring sound that is reminiscent of a baby dinosaur that has us laughing. We also fed him some lemon juice with hilarious outcomes last week.

His favorite toys continue to be of the non-toy variety...measuring spoons, measuring cups, any type of lid, and my hair. We have been taking it pretty easy on the weekends, we all seem to need a bit of a rest.

He slept for 14 hours straight this week!!!!!!!!! He is still loving eating, I guess this was inevitable with me as a mother. It is fun to see his curiosity, coordination and little personality come out more and more each day. We feel so lucky.

Spring

Spring is here, and it is glorious. This HAS to be my favorite time of year, coming out of the gray winter. It also helps this year that I have a little person to point out all the little flowers and buds to.

David is on a roll. He has been pulling himself into a standing position (to my horror) and we need to keep a very close eye on him during the day. He is our "determined David" and the bigger the obstacle the better. He is proving to be an eating champion. We tried peanut butter recently. I had been worrying about this, so I had my phone and emergency number (144 for Switzerland) at the ready, but no problems! Whew. No surprises that he prefers strawberries and apples to carrots and spinach.

We love our days together. We go into "town", our little village everyday before lunchtime to shop. I love it here, it is a tiny place but seems to have everything we need and more. I have been surprised by all of the Lizards, yes you read that right, Lizards. They are these tiny things that dart all over the place, scaring the dickens out of me and the dogs.

Crazy eyes

Loves of my life

I have no idea what there are but I LOVE them

Morning smiles

Since one haircut for Nox costs the same as a pair of professional dog trimmers we decided to buy some and give it a go.... he HATES having his feet touched so I guess this as good as it's going to get

Oh, hey you! Please note the lovely baby drool/hand art on the mirror

We were only a month late getting a high chair, it has made things a wee bit easier on us. Davy was such a good little helper.

What is dis thing?

Pros

"No, not the spinach!"

I don't know who is more concentrated, Z or D
