Well, I guess it is good that I am getting a post up about things that happened in December just before February arrives. We have been a wee bit busy and do not have internet in our new place just yet.
Our exit from Germany was anything but easy. We were stressed but excited about the new start that awaited us in Switzerland. Without going too far into it, it has been a nightmare of an experience extracting ourselves from our German rental contract. This experience just sealed the deal that Germany was not the place for us. We were thrilled when we finally packed everything (including the dogs) in the car and headed south. We stayed in a hotel in our new village (Arlesheim) for a couple of days waiting for our things to clear customs. Thankfully this all went smoothly and before we knew it we were moving stuff into our new place. All in all I wouldn't recommend to move over Christmas, to a new country, with a baby, but we did it and are so glad we are here!
Lots has happened since so I will try to post more in the near future, but for now, here is what our December was like!

It was bizarre seeing this place bare, but we were so excited that the packing was done and we were rearing to get going!
